Now, we will introduce some examples of our sustainability initiatives.
The first of these is the acceleration of decarbonization initiatives in our Residential operations.
With respect to our “BRANZ” condominiums, whose brand slogan is “Environmental progress, starting with home,” we made the decision to speed up the timetable for our previous targets for making ZEH a standard specification, which were approx. 50% by FY2025 and 100% by FY2030, as well as to give all BRANZ properties that we will start construction work on in FY2023 and beyond environmental performance equivalent to ZEH and to acquire “low carbon building” certification for all buildings.
In addition to condominiums, we will also give all buildings at our “COMFORIA” urban rental residence and our “CAMPUS VILLAGE” student residence, which we will begin construction on in 2025 and beyond, environmental performance equivalent to ZEH.
Next, I would like to discuss our efforts to strengthen the initiatives geared towards the recycling-based society.
Relative to our goal of aiming to realize a circular economy through reducing procurement from the world of nature through zero waste and resource recycling, we will proceed to contribute to the achievement of a circular business cycle and sustainable communities through means such as joining UNIQLO’s recycling and reuse initiative by switching staff uniforms at Tokyu Sports Oasis over to those made by UNIQLO and installing a compost at all Tokyu Harvest Club facilities by the year 2025.
Lastly, we will touch upon our receipt of the BELCA Award.
“Abiko Village,” which Tokyu Land Corporation developed in 1977 and which Tokyu Community Corporation helps to managed and operate alongside local residents, was granted the BELCA Award in the Long Life Category.
The property was recognized for contributing to the promotion of the long life of buildings through elements such as its structure, which satisfies anti-seismic properties under existing standards without being reinforced since the facility’s development, and the adequate repair management that it has undergone using the latest technology to accommodate the changing times in order to improve its living environment and reduce utility costs.
