Now, I will talk about our sustainability initiatives.
First of all, Tokyu Land Corporation aims to achieve RE100 by 2022, ahead of schedule.
Details will be illustrated on page 41.
Next is our efforts to strengthen environmental measures in each project.
We have acquired the “ZEB Ready” certification, the largest scale in Japan for a commercial and hotel complex building as a whole, under the Building-Housing Energy-efficiency Labeling System (BELS) for the "Sapporo Susukino Ekimae Complex Development Project” (tentative name).
We are also advancing our initiatives to offset the CO2 emissions from Tokyu Land Corporation's condominium galleries with J-Credits obtained through the "Green Connection Project," the Group's forest conservation activities.
Going forward, we will strive to improve the value of our assets by acquiring environmental certifications and introduce renewable energy in the residential domain.
Next, I would like to discuss our efforts to strengthen the initiatives geared towards the recycling-oriented society.
We will contribute to the realization of a recycling-oriented business cycle and sustainable local communities in a way that is unique to the Group with a view to achieving a circular economy by reducing procurement from nature through zero waste and resource recycling. Our approaches include “NewMake Labo” which aims to solve the social problem of mass consumption and mass disposal of clothing in Harajuku, the center of fashion, and “Manaberu Marche (a shop where you can learn)," our distinctive initiative that utilizes various points of contact with the community and rural areas.
Lastly, I would like to announce that we have been selected as the Health & Productivity Stock Selection for the third consecutive year.
This is the third year in a row that we have been selected as one of the “listed enterprises strategically carrying out efforts with regard to their employees’ and other workers’ health from a management perspective.” The selection has been jointly made by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
The Group will continue to address the well-being of its employees and the maintenance and promotion of their health as its important management issues.
